Dr. Willie Soon is a physicist at the Solar, Stellar, and Planetary Sciences Division of the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics and an astronomer at the Mount Wilson Observatory. He writes and lectures both professionally and publicly on important issues related to the Sun, other stars, and the Earth as well as general science topics in astronomy and physics. The multidisciplinary nature of his research range has led to many fruitful collaborations with atmospheric, agricultural and health scientists in addition to astronomers, mathematicians, space physicists, and oceanographers. His original book manuscript (with S. Yaskell) "The Maunder Minimum and the Variable Sun-Earth Connection" will be published later this year by World Scientific Publishing Company.
